The family of a Georgia mother killed by her boyfriend revealed she was pregnant at the time of her death, the Daily News reports.
Reginald Jones admitted to fatally shooting his girlfriend, 23-year-old Faith Bittinger, but claimed it was an accident.
“He stated it was an accident, but detectives are following up on additional leads that may have bearing on this,” College Park Lt. Nathan Ward told the Marietta Journal.
Jones is charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Bittinger’s family revealed she was pregnant at the time of the shooting.
They said the couple, who already have an infant daughter together, had a “rocky” relationship, according to WAGA.
“As soon as they started dating, he seemed okay, but I had a feeling about him,” her stepsister, Olivia Martin, told WSB.
