The Secret Service found a woman dangling by her shoelaces from the top of a White House fence on Tuesday night, authorities told NBC News on Wednesday.
Marci Anderson Wahl of Everett, Washington pleaded not guilty and was then released on a misdemeanor charge Wednesday in D.C. Superior Court.
A Secret Service official recounted that Wahl had tried to jump over the southwest corner of the White House fence at about 11 PM. “The individual became entangled in security features affixed to the top of the fence, suspending them in the air on the inside of the fence,” he said.
In other words, the fence made a shoe-string tackle and delivered the suspect in a sack to authorities.
Wahl faces an April 27 status hearing, and has been ordered to stay away from the White House.
