Hillary Clinton’s latest book is coming out and in it she goes in depth into why she lost the presidential election to Donald Trump. The book “Hard Choices” apparently places almost no blame on herself or her campaign and instead seeks to lay the fault squarely at the feet of men.
Not only does she blame misogyny, but three other factors are singled out for attention.
- FBI Director Comey’s involvement in the email investigation.
- Russia’s influence over the election.
- And Wikileaks releasing the damaging emails.
Let’s look at each of these in point. Firstly, misogyny. Winning an election is about convincing people your opinions are right, women voted for Trump and men voted for Hillary; her ideas just weren’t appealing enough to the voters.
Next is the FBI investigation. Well this is entirely her own fault. If she had followed the rules regarding electronic security, there wouldn’t have been an investigation in the first place. If the FBI had not launched an investigation, they would not have been doing their jobs.
Russian influence so far has no concrete evidence, with people more and more suspecting that the whole thing is a snow job or a distraction to draw attention away from possible crimes committed by the Democrats.
Lastly, Wikileaks. The information in the leaked documents was damaging, it’s true. But the information had nothing to do with actual government business. It merely showed that they were involved in dodgy campaign tactics and trying to steal an election. If they hadn’t been involved in these questionable practices, there wouldn’t have been anything to expose.
