Remember when the mainstream press reported that the “Deep State” of un-elected Washington D.C. power-brokers was a conservative conspiracy theory?
CNN’s Dana Bash, talking to Wolf Blitzer on the Clinton News Network this week, might have just let the cat out of the bag.
After a long monologue ranting about how President Trump has disturbed establishment norms and had a mistake-filled (in her eyes) first 100 days, Bash let the following slip out:
“The deep state—well these are communities that have a lot of loyalty within and know how to get back at you, even if you’re the President of the United States,” she said.
In conjunction, Paul Watson of Infowars has pointed out that Bash’s remarks parallel Democratic senator Chuck Schumer‘s language in an MSNBC interview before Trump was even inaugurated.
“(The intelligence community has) six ways from Sunday of getting back at you,” Schumer said.
