Over the weekend, a new waterpark opened in Dublin, Calif.
One of the signature new rides of the $43 million “The Wave” waterpark is called the Emerald Plunge. It’s a 3-story slide with an 80-degree drop.
According to ABC7 News, a 10-year-old boy was enjoying the ride when he slid off the track. The video, as you can see, was pretty scary.
The boy seemed to be all right after his wild ride but was checked out by medics to be on the safe side.
An assistant city manager, Linda Smith, described what happened:
I was standing there. He seems to be shook but seemed to be OK. He immediately got up and went into the first aid room. He was assessed by staff and his parents were here.
