Little Evelyn Lewis was playing outside her home in La Grande, Oregon earlier this month when she started to feel ill.
The 3-year-old was put to bed after her bath, and her parents noticed she was having trouble standing up.
The next morning the little girl was much worse and could barely use her legs or arms. Watch for yourself:
Of course, these symptoms would scare any parents and the girl was taken to the local emergency room, where the doctor found a tick hiding in Evelyn’s hair.
The local ABC News station reported that doctors had seen these symptoms in another childhood victim of tick bites, which is called ‘tick paralysis.’
Once the tick was removed from Evelyn’s head, her symptoms quickly went away, and the little girl is now doing just fine.
