In a strongly worded statement from the White House, national security advisor General H.R. McMaster told the press this afternoon that the Washington Post story on President Trump leaking classified intelligence to the Russian ambassador and foreign minister is “completely false.”
“I was in the room. It didn’t happen,” he said on the White House lawn.
“There is nothing that the President takes more seriously than the security of the American people,” McMaster said, stating that Trump did not give away any intelligence sources, nor any military operations that were not public knowledge already.
Multiple other military and intelligence officials remember the meeting the same way, said the General, “and have said so.”
