The supposed open-minded organizers of Charlotte’s Gay Pride Parade are refusing to let gay supporters of President Trump march in the parade.
Trump has long been a supporter of people’s right to choose their sexuality and has been openly supportive of gay rights as long as they don’t trample the rights of others.
Trump pretty much mirrors the opinion of most Americans that have no issue with folks in the LGBT community but also don’t feel they deserve special rights just because they are gay.
FOX5NY quoted Brian Talbert a gay Trump supporter.
I’m very proud of my country, proud of my president, and was once proud of my community. I’m very proud of my vote. I don’t regret my vote. I will vote for Donald Trump again. I’m proud of my president. I don’t think I should be vilified because I’m proud of a U.S. president as an American.
— Brian Talbert
The Charlotte Pride group that hosts the parade responded by saying that they reserve the right to determine who participates in their group activities.
One can only imagine the outrage the Charlotte Pride group would exhibit if someone denied them the right to march.
