After the story released earlier today about a hacked McDonald’s twitter account insulting President Donald Trump, calling him a “disgusting excuse of a president” and that he has “tiny hands,” an apology and investigation was issued. And that was supposed to be the end of a very bad scenario.
Unfortunately, one MSNBC reporter, Josh Barro, decided that he should use this as an opportunity to degrade Trump supporters across the globe. He tweeted to McDonald’s saying that they made a major ‘brand misstep’ when tweeting on Thursday morning because “FAT SLOBS WITH BAD TASTE” are the core of Trump’s supporting demographic. In that one sentence, he not only insulted Trump supporters, but the 62+ million McDonald’s Customers across the globe. Not a smart move on his part.
From Gatway Pundit:
McDonald’s said that they had been “compromised” and it was deleted shortly after it was posted. But in response to that one came this real winner from Business Insider senior editor and MSNBC contributor Josh Barro. Whoa. This wasn’t from some 20 year old intern trying to pull a joke, this was from an actual alleged adult ‘journalist.’Great job insulting 62+ million people and/or every McDonald’s customer! Perhaps the best response to Barro was from Chris Arnade, who writes about poverty for the Guardian and is a defender of McDonald’s. This is how the coastal elites view much of the rest of the country, the flyover country, as somehow lesser than them -less educated, less knowledgable, less aware. Barro just thought it was such an accepted fact within his society, he thought he could say it freely. He just forgot that the internet is forever…
