Senator Cory Gardner was in the middle of a refreshingly thoughtful, measured criticism of President Trump when he purposely-or-not gave Kim Jong-un a black eye all the way across the Pacific.
“I think most people would agree that Kim Jong-un is a whack job,” Gardner told a Morning Joe panel.
When the official DPRK media heard the news, they went as ballistic as one of the country’s clumsy, nearly-useless missiles.
In fact, the North Koreans used language so strong that linguists had to censor the response in translation.
“Some (bleep) by the name of Cory Gardner, who sits on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, perpetrated wicked blasphemy against our supreme dignity during an interview with NBC,” reads a translation of the country’s news report.
“For a psychopath like (bleeping) Gardner, to hurl evil accusations at our highest dignity is a serious provocation.”
