All this debate about who would’ve handed Syria better than Obama, ‘Trump or Hillary?’ can come to an end this week, as both the President and his main adversary AGREE that dropping the bombs on Syria was the best way to go.
Even failed Presidential candidate, who spent most of her campaign attacking President Trump and his supporters (people still wonder why she lost?), has turned out to agree entirely on the situation. Not only did she agree, she called for more action in Syria, and suggested we follow that maneuver with more military strength.
Perhaps this isn’t the most shocking statement coming from Hilary Clinton, of all people… considering she’s known as “Killary” in most circles. The former first lady, senator, and secretary of state, had muddled up enough foreign relations that she’s no stranger to dropping bombs. The problems in Syria were escalated by her and Obama, after all.
Like Trump said, he “inherited a mess”.
AmericaNow has more:
In her first interview since her stunning presidential election defeat by Republican rival Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton on Thursday called for the United States to bomb Syrian air fields.
Clinton, in an interview at the Women in the World Summit in New York, also called Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election a theft more damaging than Watergate.
Asked whether she now believes that failing to take a tougher stand against Syria was her worst foreign policy mistake as secretary of state under President Barack Obama, Clinton said she favored more aggressive action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
“I think we should have been more willing to confront Assad,” Clinton said in the interview, conducted by New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof.
