In a move that has shocked the world, President Trump has done what almost every nation wished they had the strength to do: Sort out North Korea. On Sunday, Trump talked about how North Korea is one of the greatest threats facing the US in the future, and that due to China’s “special relationship” the responsibility is on them to control the dictatorship. But, he had a message for China and the world:
“China has great influence over North Korea. China will either decide to help us with North Korea, or they won’t,” the president told the Financial Times, “If China is not going to solve North Korea, we will.”
According to the Daily Caller:
Since Trump took office, North Korea has carried out multiple provocations. The North has tested a new type of ballistic missile — a solid-fueled, road-mobile, mid-range missile, fired off four ballistic missiles in a rehearsal for a strike on U.S. bases in Japan, tested multiple high-thrust rocket engines, and tested an unidentified missile.
Furthermore, a recent flurry of activity around Punggye-ri suggests the North may be preparing for another nuclear test in the near future.
The continued provocation, not just of the US, but also to the rest of the world, should be of great concern to all nations. Let’s hope Trump has what it takes to deal with them.
