In just one day, President Donald Trump has overturned four pieces of legislation that he says are stifling competition and are bad for business. From the Oval Office, the official destruction of Obama’s legacy has begun. “There’ll be many more” says the President.
The orders that President Trump overturned include:
- “Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces” rule. Which had nothing to do with either fair pay nor safe workspaces. It was legislation that banned Federal contracts going to companies that had previously broken Labor rules.
- Two rules under the “Every Student Succeeds Act,” which will remove added layers of bureaucracy from the school system.
- “Planning 2.0” rule, which was about how to use 245 million acres of Federal land opposed by the energy industry.
As reported in the Daily Caller:
As he signed the orders, Trump said there was “a lot more coming” and he would “remove every job killing regulation we can find.”
“This was a lot of work by a lot of people to get this done,” Trump said. “It will lead to a lot more jobs for a lot more people.”
As Trump continues to fulfill his campaign promises to cut regulation and make business more competitive, many people are wondering what holdover from the Obama administration will be next to go.
