Under the control of President Obama, the Environmental Protection Agency has increased its list of job killing regulations to outrageous levels. Two months in and the White House is already sending the EPA a clear message that their days of unchecked growth are over. They are pushing for significant cuts to EPA programs and staff levels, so the decisions can be made more on a state by state basis, relinquishing more power to the people. There is a new budget plan sent from the OMB, Office of Management and Budget, to the EPA that would eliminate dozens of programs and would put an end to the Obama Administration’s climate agenda.
From Daily Caller:
“OMB also requested a 30 percent cut in grants to states and a 20 percent reduction in EPA’s workforce through buy-outs and layoffs. In total, President Donald Trump is calling for a roughly 25 percent cut to EPA’s budget — about $2 billion. The cuts are laid out in a letter sent by William Becker, the executive director of the National Association of Clean Air Agencies (NACAA), to his group’s member state and local regulators. Becker said NACAA received the “pass back” budget information sent from OMG to EPA Monday.”
