President Donald Trump did not mince words when describing his feelings about former FBI Director James Comey.
Trump gave his first interview since he fired Comey to NBC’s Lester Holt on Thursday and left no doubt that it was Trump’s decision to get rid of Comey.
Washington D.C. has been in turmoil since Comey’s firing earlier this week.
He’s a showboat, he’s a grandstander, the FBI has been in turmoil. You know that, I know that. Everybody knows that. You take a look at the FBI a year ago, it was in virtual turmoil, less than a year ago. It hasn’t recovered from that.

The President also said, “I just want somebody that’s competent. I am a big fan of the FBI, I love the FBI.
Trump also said that he had never put any pressure on Comey to drop the FBI probe of the election. The President said, “I want to find out if there was a problem in the election having to do with Russia.”
