Hanna Zoey Tur, a transgender reporter blasted his/her daughter on Facebook for not wanting to talk to him after he transitioned into a woman. His daughter, NBC News correspondent Katy Tur, recently spoke about her relationship with her father in a profile and admitted they were not on speaking terms.
Zoey used the opportunity to blast his own laughter in the name of the LGBTQ community on Facebook.
“Truth is my daughter does not support the LGBT community. She’s Transphobic and fearful that it will hurt her career as a broadcaster in these alt-right times. Career before family. In the words of Paddy Chayefsky: She’s pure television,” Zoey wrote in the Facebook post.
The Daily Caller reports:
Katy recently spoke on her troubled relationship with her father in a Saturday New York Times profile. The silence between the two has nothing to do with her father’s transition, Katy explained.
“We were not on speaking terms for a little while. But that’s not because of the transition,” she told the Times.
Zoey referenced the profile in his Facebook tirade as well, claiming that the profile left him “humiliated.”
“My daughter is ‘terrified’ to meet me … On June 8th I turned 57 and no call-not even an email. On Pride Sunday the NYTimes published a story about Katy that left me humiliated. The timing and optics couldn’t be worse,” Zoey wrote.
