After news came out that three US soldiers have been killed fighting in Afghanistan, the public is starting to wonder why are troops are still in a place that Obama said was “over” back in 2012. Fighting both ISIS and the Taliban, it seems that the whole area is just getting worse and worse. Going into Afghan in the first place was a bad idea, but now we need an exit strategy that will ensure American lives are not lost.
Trump has done an amazing job so far with giving “Mad Dog” Mattis free reign over the military, and the MOAB was a masterstroke, but what’s needed now is a comprehensive strategy to deal with the whole area. It’s useless if we just focus on Aghan and ignore the neighboring countries because these places have NO BORDER CONTROLS!
We all need to support President Trump in securing American safety abroad and help him make American soil safe again. Get our soldiers home and let’s build the Wall.
As reported in The Daily Caller:
Three U.S. Army Rangers were killed Saturday during an insider attack by an Afghan National Security Forces soldier, U.S. officials now say.
Afghan officials said Saturday two U.S. soldiers appeared to have been killed with an additional two wounded. Insider attacks have long been a hallmark of the U.S. experience in Afghanistan.
The shooting occurred in an Islamic State-infested district in eastern Afghanistan where the U.S. is actively engaged in operations against the nascent terrorist group. The U.S. is partnered with the Afghan National Security Forces in the fight against ISIS and the Taliban insurgent movement in the rest of the country.
