Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly is losing its viewers fast. After having only been on the air since June 4, Megyn Kelly’s new show has dropped over 3 million viewers in less than 2 months. This is bad news for Kelly who initially saw 6.4 million views on opening night.
The last episode saw 60 Minutes take in almost twice as many views as Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly. Even America’s Funniest Home Videos got more viewers than Kelly’s show. And Kelly thought it was going to be very popular!
Interestingly, NBC have announced that Kelly’s morning show will premiere on September 25 while her Sunday night will be put on hiatus during the football season. There is no way Kelly is going to even come close to her numbers at Fox News.
We bet she is regretting using the catch cry, “You will laugh and you will cry” prior to the release of her first episode. It is clear that the audience are the ones laughing…and NBC is crying.
It will be interesting to see whether it even returns after the busy sport’s season or whether NBC shelve it for something bigger and better.
The Federalist Papers Project reports:
Megyn Kelly’s new show on NBC News, Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly, aired on June 4, and she garnered a total of 6.4 million views that first evening. That seems to be the high point though, as things have gone south for the former Fox News hostess.
The Daily Wire reports that Kelly’s ratings have gone down since her first episode’s airing nearly a month and a half ago.
