7 years ago, their daughter disappeared on Spring Break. Chad and Dawn Drexel have suffered all these years not knowing what happened to 17-year-old Brittanee.
Brittanee’s parents had forbidden her from attending Spring Break festivities. Brittanee, however, decided to sneak out of their upstate New York residence and headed to Myrtle Beach.
Authorities believe she was held against her will in McClellanville, South Carolina.
Special Agent David Thomas, of the FBI, admitted that the agency had suspected for some time that the teen was killed in a brutal fashion. They had even posted a $25,000 reward for information leading to the location of her remains.
After seven years, Agent Thomas said the Bureau had reached the decision that the parents and the community needed to be told what had happened.
Someone within McClellanville knows what happened to Brittanee, and knows where her remains are. The FBI are still seeking information and leads.
Brittanee’s parents have put out a statement on social media, pleading for anyone who knows anything to come forward.
US Chronicle reports:
One of the worst experiences for any parent to go through is the loss of a child, but what can be even worse than that is suffering from not knowing where the child is, or if they are even alive.
Parents can give themselves nervous breakdowns imagining all of the horrible things that could be happening, or have happened.
