39-year-old teacher Alison Marchese has been sentenced to 3 years in jail for harassing and sexually assaulting two teen boys. The former English teacher performed oral sex on a 17-year-old and sent indecent texts to a 15 year old student. Canadian citizen Marchese taught at Daniel Hand High School in Madison, Connecticut, until 2015, when she was arrested.
She exchanged explicit photos with the 17-year-old student on social media before performing fellatio on him in a classroom during a school day. According to court records, the teacher invited the boy into the classroom before locking the door and closing the blinds. The students subsequently attempted to blackmail Marchese, but was unsuccessful due to the teacher’s threat’s of mafia violence against him.
The Daily Caller reports that she:
Threatened the student concerning her father’s “mafia ties.” He “would never play football again” if he squealed, she allegedly said, according to cops.
A second student was the victim of suggestive texts sent by Marchese. The 15-year-old rebuffed the advances which caused him to have trouble sleeping and concentrating in class. He also became an outcast among his peers, due to rumors of his involvement with the teacher.
According to the Daily Caller:
The mother of one of the students said her son still suffers “emotionally, physically and psychologically” because of the trauma Marchese caused. “Sexual assault is not sexy,” the mad mother said, adding that Marchese is a “sexual predator” with “no remorse.”
Marchese was charged with unlawful restraint, reckless endangerment, harassment and making an illegal threat. She will receive 3 years in prison and a fourth year suspended.
