Conservative students at St. Olaf College, a liberal arts institution in Minnesota, live in fear of liberal students and professors and are afraid to discuss their political views on campus, reported The Daily Caller this afternoon.
The students not only face a numbers disadvantage as 80% of the college voted Democratic in the last election, but many have also been threatened by campus neighbors.
As printed in the Manitou Messenger, “Of the 12 students interviewed, several have been violently threatened because of their political beliefs, and almost all of them feel as though they can’t speak up about politics on campus – in class, online or with their friends.”
The newspaper item continued, “On the night of the election, a student threatened to beat up (College Republicans President Emily) Schaller, calling her a ‘f***ing moron.'”
There are also multiple accounts of liberal students at St. Olaf threatening to “hurt the next Republican” they see.
