Michelle Carter is facing trial this week on charges that she was at least partly responsible for Conrad Roy to take his own life.
According to CNN, Michelle was sending text messages to Roy encouraging him to go through with suicide.
Prosecutors claim that the texts are key evidence that Carter played an instrumental role in urging the teen to kill himself by sitting in his car until he died from carbon monoxide poisoning when he was 18.
According to court documents, Carter sent messages to Roy describing how easy it would be to take his own life.
You’re ready and prepared. All you have to do is turn the generator on, and you will be free and happy. No more pushing it off. No more waiting.
You need to do it, Conrad. You can’t think about it, you just have to do it.
Are you going to do it today?

Michelle’s defense lawyers are arguing that Roy’s death was suicide, not a homicide, and it was his choice to make.
