CBS talk show host Stephen Colbert doubled down on his disgraceful rant against President Trump and sunk even lower in the public’s eye.
While hosting The Late Show Colbert reached a new low in the politics of hatred. Colbert used a homophobic slur when he referred to the President of the United States as being “Vladimir Putin’s c*ck holster.”
Colbert also referred to the President as “presi-dunce” and a “prick-tator.” Colbert seems to feel that just because he’s on television, he has no boundaries on what he can say. It used to be that the President of our country was a person to be respected as the President represents the will of the people.
According to Breitbart, Colbert seemed to have little awareness of the of politics of hate that he has helped to inflame.
Now, if you saw my monologue Monday, you know that I was a little upset at Donald Trump for insulting a friend of mine,” he added, referring to CBS’ John Dickerson. “So at the end of that monologue, I had a few choice insults for the president in return. I don’t regret that. He, I believe, can take care of himself. I have jokes; he has the launch codes. So, it’s a fair fight.”
CBS has not made any public comment on Colbert’s inflammatory remarks, but the American people have, as outrage over Colbert’s attack against the office of the President has crossed over party lines.
