In the 1990s, myths of demonic cults were propagated with the ritual abuse frenzy gaining popularity in the US and Europe. Although they never existed, it has become trendy for people to emulate the imagined satanic practices. Recently, students from Clemson University announced plans to perform a “live bloodletting and lamb sacrifice” as well as burning of bibles to commemorate the construction of a new chapel in the campus.
The Heat Street reports:
A poster on campus attributed to a student organization calling themselves the “Clemson Unorthodox Neo-Satanic Temple (CUNT)” announced plans to perform the ceremony at the “CUNT Afterlife Party” on March 11. No location was specified. The poster contains imagery associated with Satanism, like pentagrams and an illustration of the goat-headed Baphomet.
The organization further announced that friends at the Clemson Collegiate Bureau would provide a live lamb for ritual killing, and the student who burns the most bibles will receive a cash price. To mark the culmination of the event, attendees are invited to “help summon Baphomet to celebrate the new Clemson Chapel.”
