During Sean Spicer’s press conference this morning, Spicer had to answer a variety of questions to see where the president stands on the wiretapping scandal rocking Obama, the media making the ACA look too good, and most importantly – where the president is on the GOP healthcare bill. Despite a lot of GOP opposition, Spicer confirms President Trump is fully behind the bill.
The GOP bill has been dubbed everything from Obamacare 2.0, To the Ryan Plan, to Trumpcare. Many doctors and hospital have spoken out against the plan, saying it will hurt access to healthcare, especially for some low/middle income Trump voters across America.
Regardless, the President reminded us at a meeting on Monday morning with a group of “Obamacare Victims”, that “The press is making Obamacare look so good… The fact is, Obamacare is a disaster. If we end it, everybody is going to say, ‘Oh, remember how great ObamaCare used to be? Remember how wonderful it used to be? It used to be so great.’”
The Daily Caller reports:
“The president is fully committed to this plan,” Spicer said. “Director Mulvaney made it clear this weekend — if through the process we can find better ideas that will benefit Americans, then we are going to do it. We are not saying this is the only way forward. If there are ways we can enhance the bill, then we are going to do that.”
