Tyerell Przybycien, an 18-year-old from Utah has been arrested after he decided that he would help his 16-year-old female friend commit suicide. Not only did he buy her a rope, he filmed the entire act. Police found a chilling text message, where Przybycien texted the unnamed 16-year-old, and told her it would be “awesome” to help her kill herself.
Prosecutors claim the suspect wrote in a message to another friend last month: “What you do if you knew a friend was trying to commit suicide?”
His friend responded: “Talk them out of it [sic].”
But Przybycien said: “The thing is.. I wanna help kill them. It be awesome. Seriously im going to help her. Its like getting away with murder! Im so f***** up. I’m seriously not joking. Its going down in about a week or two.”
After the girl’s death, he sent another to his friend stating: “Bro It happened.. I helped her do it too and I feel so guilty.”
The Daily Mail reports:
It is also alleged that Przybycien made no effort to save the teenager, who he filmed for 10 minutes before she died.
The documents state that ‘at no point did the defendant offer assistance to save (the teenager’s) life or render aid but rather he can be heard commenting that her body should be depleted from any oxygen.’
Przybycien from Spanish Fork allegedly told police that he wanted to watch someone die. He was arrested and taken to the Utah County Jail on Saturday.
A turkey hunter in Maple Lake first found the 16-year-old girl hanging from a rope in a tree around 7.30am on Saturday.
In two plastic grocery bags on the ground near her body was a handwritten note stating who the girl was and explaining that ‘if there were any questions to watch the video’, a cell phone and a receipt for rope with Przybycien’s name on it.
After the phone from the bag was charged, officers watched the video, that was taken shortly before and during the girl’s brutal death.
‘You can clearly see the victim (in the video) with a noose around her neck while standing on a rock,’ the investigating officer wrote, according to the Deseret News.
‘Przybycien is heard asking the juvenile to say something. The female victim then inhales a large dose of the industrial strength air duster and loses consciousness.
‘Przybycien then continues to film this incident on camera for approximately 10 to 11 minutes. Przybycien never offers assistance at anytime, and can be heard asking her to move or say something.’
The two friends can also be heard talking to each other as they prepared the scene together, according to Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon.
‘Don’t know if he encouraged her as much as he did not actively discourage her. They talked about it. He knew what she intended to do. They went together as he purchased the items she intended to use. And he played an active role in her death,’ Cannon said.
