A comprehensive study by Pew has been released that shows Christianity is facing its demise in Europe. The study has set social media ablaze by pointing out that there were more Christian deaths than births in Europe each year, and that there are more Muslim births than deaths. This signifies that at some point in the future there will be a Muslim majority throughout Europe.
With the imbalance in birth and death rates being largely caused by mass immigration of younger people from Muslim countries. Many are wondering if anything can be done to reverse the trend.
As reported in the Daily Caller:
While Christianity dies out in Europe, Islam is rapidly expanding. During that same time period, births among Muslims in Europe outnumbered deaths by more than two million.
Among the religiously unaffiliated, births outpaced deaths by around one million.
Outside of Europe Christianity continues to grow. “Between 2010 and 2015, an estimated 223 million babies were born to Christian mothers and roughly 107 million Christians died – a natural increase of 116 million,” the report states.
At present Islam is the fastest growing group with births around 213 million, which taken into account 61 million deaths, give a rise of 152 million.
