A little girl was watching sea lions looking for fish at Fisherman’s Wharf in Richmond, B.C. when one of the lions pulled the girl into the water.
Onlookers were shocked as they watched the sea lion pull the young into the water.
A quick-thinking bystander jumped into the water and pulled the girl to safety with no apparent injuries.
The sea lion actually attracted a lot of attention from the visitors there, including the young girl. She and her family, I guess, they came, they started feeding the animal bread crumbs or whatever it was, and then I guess the animal got a little too comfortable.
The sea lion was not considered to be harmful, and nothing will happen to the animal as a result of the incident.
The girl was wet and shocked after the incident and is likely to be more careful around sea lions in the future.
