Two secret service agents are under investigation over their alleged conduct last week when protecting the most vulnerable members of Trump’s family- his grandchildren. The actions of the two agents are being reviewed by the internal affairs division of the secret service.
According to people familiar with the matter, the agents supposedly took pictures of the child sleeping in the secret service vehicle. At that time, the parents of the child, Donald Trump Jr., and his wife Vanessa were not present, but they voiced their concern and raised questions with the agent’s supervisors after learning about it.
According to Western Journalism, President Trump’s grandson “freaked out” when he awoke to the sight of his security guards snapping selfies with him as they thought he was passed out. He was rightfully terrified by the obvious violation of privacy and confused by what was going on and told his mother, Vanessa Trump, about it after arriving home.
“Her concerns were quickly escalated to the attention of the Secret Service Office of Professional Responsibility in Washington, D.C.,” the report noted, leading to an investigation into the situation with the two Secret Service agents in question.
“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of a matter involving two of our agents and one of our protectees,” a spokesman for the service announced. “Our Office of Professional Responsibility will always thoroughly review a matter to determine the facts and to ensure proper, long-standing protocols and procedures are followed.”
The spokesman also urged citizens not to jump to conclusions about the character of these two agents who may have been acting innocently in an era of Smartphones and selfies.
