Conservative media was energized today by a breaking story from ABC News that Federal intelligence agents wire-tapped Trump Tower in 2013 during the second term of the Obama administration, as reported in RT this afternoon.
The apartment inhabited by the suspects of the investigation, tenants with alleged ties to the Russian mafia, was just three floors below Trump’s penthouse residence.
One of the men, Trump Tower resident Vadim Trincher, was detained by authorities and eventually pled guilty to racketeering charges.
Trincher is suspected of ties to Alimzhan Tursunovich Tokhtakhounov, also known as “Taiwanchik,” an illegal-gambling baron who has been indicted for trying to fix the figure-skating competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.
Despite the new revelation of FBI spying in Trump Tower, the House and Senate intelligence committees maintain that they have not received any evidence of wiretapping, the RT report said.
