There is little doubt that Amy Fisher has had a tough life.
In 1992 when she was just 17 she shot Mary Jo Buttafuoco, the wife of her lover, Joey Buttafuoco, age 35 at the time.
The story dominated the news for months on end as the country was fascinated by the dramatic case. Amy Fisher was referred to in the press as “the Long Island Lolita.”
Amy served seven years in prison and was released in 1999. Joey Buttafuoco pleaded guilty to one count of statutory rape and served just four months in jail.
Fisher has tried various ways to capitalize on her fame, including reality TV and acting in porn movies, but none have really worked out for her.
According to the New York Daily Post, Fisher now, 42 she has moved back to New York from Florida and is hoping for a fresh start.
