Reality Winner, age 25, was denied bond in a court hearing Thursday on charges of espionage.
The government contended that ‘top secret’ information that Winner is believed to have removed on a thumb drive has not been found.
Government investigators told the court they had found damning evidence in Winner’s home including statements such as “’I want to burn the White House down… find somewhere in Kurdistan to live,” which was reported by The Daily Mail.
Winner’s notes also included sympathetic statements on Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour.
In a recorded conversation from jail, Winner told her sister she would “go out and play the cute, blonde white girl. Braid my hair, going to cry.”
Winner may be cute, but one has to question her intelligence to be making such statements from jail where inmates are all advised that conversations are subject to being recorded.
