Your move, McCain.
In a Thursday morning interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Rand Paul silkily and savagely struck Arizona Senator John McCain in retaliation for remarks made on the U.S. Senate floor on Wednesday.
“I think he makes a great case,” said Paul before adding slyly, “for term limits.”
In response to McCain’s suggestion that Paul’s non-interventionist foreign policy tendencies are “serving the needs of” Vladimir Putin, Paul pointed to a popular anti-war cartoon “the Angry McCains.” In the drawings, a map of the world is stamped with a scowling John McCain head everywhere the aging Senate veteran believes the United States military should be engaged in war. “(The heads are) virtually everywhere,” said Paul.
“(McCain’s) foreign policy is something that would greatly endanger the United States, greatly overextend us. I think he’s past his prime…a little unhinged,” Paul added.
