Just 12 hours after security was breached at the White House with a second fence jumper Saturday, another horrific attempt to take out Trump was made. Things were just settling down after the second fence jumper made it to the front door of the White House, where he shook the doorknob and remained unnoticed for a staggering 17 minutes before he was detained. The Saturday night attempt makes it a third security breach last week.
Fox News reported that a man was taken into custody at the checkpoint after he allegedly drove up to the guards who prevented him from passing through. He claimed that he had a bomb and was immediately taken into custody.
“He was immediately taken into custody, and the White House was put on high alert. Surrounding streets were closed through the night. His vehicle was searched,” TMZ reported.
Fortunately for the President and his family were not at the White House last weekend, during the time of the attacks. They were at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
