Newly founded group America First has begun a crowd-funding operation to gather funds for President Trump’s Mexican border wall. They have set a goal of $21 billion and are now accepting donations with the aim of constructing the 2,000 mile, 18 to 30-foot-high barrier between the U.S. and Mexico. The co founder and Vice president of the America First group, Steven Vullich, said “They are going to put up the wall. We’re just trying to help.”
As reported in the Daily Caller:
“This is not a joke, this is not a scam, this is the REAL DEAL!” a post on the group’s Facebook page reads.
America First’s founders want to bring the American people together to be part of what will be a historic construction project, securing the southern border by slowing illegal immigration, reduce drug trafficking, and reducing the burden on federal coffers.
The group states that they are looking to get Americans working together for a common cause and their website, which was launched in February, has several campaigns and projects which they hope to push further.
To date, America First has only raised a few hundred dollars, but Vullich says that word is spreading and they anticipate a lot more donations as the campaign turns viral.
