President Donald Trump seems to have softened the heart of the Chinese President Xi Jinping, which will work to the benefit of the American people immensely. China has now made a statement that they are open to the idea of ending the ban they have on importing beef from America.
This is not just limited to beef, as they are not more willing to buy numerous agricultural products in an attempt to balance the huge trade deficit with the United States.
This is going to be a part of a newly formed 100-day effort to create a sense of mutual trust in regards to trade, which was one of President Donald Trump’s promises over the course of the campaign.
After meeting with Chinese officials at Mar-a-lago last week, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin appeared optimistic that a number of quick deals could be reached.
“We focused specifically on a more balanced economic relationship, specifically on trade,” he told reporters after the meeting. “
And we focused on the desire to have very specific action items, both in the short term for the next time we get together, as well as what the goals are over the year.”
