The Trump administration recently released a staff salary report, and the difference between Melania Trump and Michelle Obama is staggering. Michelle’s staff of 24 in 2009 was the largest of any fist lady even when compared to the lavish lifestyle of Hillary Clinton who had 19 staff. Melania Trump, on the other hand, has a team of five. This amounts to huge savings for the White House.
And with Trump’s payroll down $5.1 million when compared to Barack Obama and the cancellation of czars and the reduction in fellowship programs, the savings on Trump’s payroll could exceed over $22 million. With over 110 fewer employees than Obama, it is evident to see that the Trump’s priorities are firmly fixed on their country rather than themselves.
Trump also made it clear from the beginning that he would not accept the presidential salary and immediately donated his cheque to the Department of Interior to be used at military cemeteries. Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump also refuse to take a salary.
When comparing the wages of those paid in the White House, Trump’s staff earn slightly more at $89,000 when compared to Obama’s staff who earned $73,051.
Sean Spicer revealed in an email that Trump is trying to give the taxpayers the best return on their money possible.
