The U.S. is sending another aircraft carrier strike force to the waters off Korea, according to the Voice of America news site.
The USS Nimitz will join with two other supercarriers already in the western Pacific region.

It is unusual for the U.S. to have three carrier groups operating in the same region and highlights the concern of the Trump administration over the unpredictable actions of North Korea.
The U.S. also announced it would conduct a test of a system designed to shoot down an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) as the threat of North Korea being able to launch a missile to the U.S. mainland is increasing.
Following a call over the weekend by the G-7 group of nations that North Korea give up its nuclear program, North Korea responded by launching another short-range missile into the Sea of Japan.
This was the second missile launch within a week and a sign that North Korea has no intention of backing away from its threat to develop the means to deliver nuclear weapons.
