Monday, a NYPD sergeant convicted of sexually abusing and raping a 13-year-old girl got off lightly. The former New York cop was sentenced to only three years’ prison time… one year per attack.
The 12-year NYPD veteran, Vladimir Krull, was working his assignment in the Midtown North precinct area. Prosecutors say that in September 2013, he kissed the young teen on her mouth.
His January trial lasted for four weeks. That’s when a Bronx jury found the 39-year old cop guilty of having sex with the young girl on two separate occasions.
The 13-year-old girl was the daughter of his girlfriend at the time of the incident. Krull was proven to had sex with the victim in his car and in her home.
He was also convicted of making the victim perform a sex act on him in his car in June 2014 after a father-daughter breakfast for her 8th grade class.
A spokeswoman for Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark confirmed Krull was sentenced to three years for each incident of abuse — which will run concurrently. He was also sentenced to five years of post-release supervision and must register as a sex offender.
A call to Krull’s attorney was not immediately returned.
