With Donald Trump’s rhetoric on the dangers of North Korea and their weapon’s program, many across the world thought that it might be the US that finally puts the dictatorship to bed. But it looks like President Trump won’t get the chance. China has waded into the row for the first time ever stating that if North Korea persists with its nuclear testing (the sixth test coming soon), then it poses a risk to northeast China.
China has stated that it is willing to go into North Korea and physically shut down their programs if they don’t get more careful.
As reported in the Daily Caller:
China warns the North’s nuclear activities must not jeopardize northeastern China. If North Korea negatively impacts China with its illicit nuclear activities, the latter will respond with force, a Global Times editorial published on the news service for the Chinese military stressed.
“China has a bottom line that it will protect at all costs, that is, the security and stability of northeast China,” the report stated. “If the bottom line is touched, China will employ all means available including the military means to strike back … By that time, it is not an issue of discussion whether China acquiesces in the US’ blows, but the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will launch attacks [on] DPRK nuclear facilities on its own.”
The one ally in the world that North Korea has, and they’re about to get read the riot act. If China withdraws its backup, N. Koreas won’t last long.
