As Europe continues with an open door policy towards immigrants, with Germany taking the lead and taking in a large amount of migrants, the move has a surprisingly usually liberal critic. Bill Gates spoke out about Europe’s doomed future if they continue with this policy… which also affects the US.
Bill Gates talked about European countries being completely overwhelmed by the huge number of migrants coming from Africa and the Middle East. Countries like Germany wouldn’t have enough resources to divide.
Instead, the 61-year-old Gates talked about the importance of tackling the problems that are causing mass migration, and making sure that it is harder to reach the continent of Europe.
The Daily Mail reports:
‘But the more generous you are, the more word gets around about this — which in turn motivates more people to leave Africa.
‘Germany cannot possibly take in the huge number of people who are wanting to make their way to Europe.’
Mr Gates praised Chancellor Merkel’s commitment to spending 0.7 per cent of GDP on foreign aid as ‘phenomenal’, and asked other European leaders to follow suit.
But he added: ‘Europe must make it more difficult for Africans to reach the continent via the current transit routes.’
His own foundation has spent years and invested hundreds of millions of dollars to fight poverty and disease in Africa.
Mail Online contacted the foundation for comment, but had not received a response at the time of publication.
Mrs Merkel has been heavily criticised for her previous policy of open-door migration which saw 1million people arrive in Germany in a single year.
Watching Europe fall apart with immigrants should be a lesson to the United States. The US does cap its refugee numbers and they are much lower than Germany’s.
Even President Trump uses Europe as a reference of what not to do: their situation being one of the inspirations for the travel ban.
