The Senate Committee on Judiciary has announced that it has launched a new investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Chairman Chuck Grassley is heading the investigation into allegations that Clinton attempted to block a corruption probe of Muhammad Yunus. Yunus was a major donor to the Clinton Foundation and a friend of Bill and Hillary.
During the 2016 campaign, there were numerous references to the Clinton Foundation engaging in “pay to play” while Mrs. Clinton was Secretary of State.
The Daily Caller reported that Senator Grassley is determined to get to the bottom of allegations towards the Clintons.
If the Secretary of State used her position to intervene in an independent investigation by a sovereign government simply because of a personal and financial relationship stemming from the Clinton Foundation rather than the legitimate foreign policy interests of the United States, then that would be unacceptable.
— Sen. Chuck Grassley
The Clinton’s ties to Yunus go back to when Bill Clinton was Governor of Arkansas. It will be interesting to see what happens to Hillary if without the protection that she got from the Obama administration.
