Last week, two teens were arrested for the brutal rape of a 14-year-old girl in a high school bathroom. Both boys had recently come to this country from Central America. A head honcho with Border Patrol says it wouldn’t have happened had the agency done its job.
Wednesday, Brandon Judd, National Border Patrol Council president spoke before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs:
“Had we had done our job that 14-year old girl wouldn’t have been raped. Period. That’s all there is to it.”
The two teens, 17-year-old Jose Montano and 18-year-old Henry Sanchez-Milian, were arrest for the rape last week. It happened in a Maryland high school bathroom.
ICE officials have confirmed that Sanchez-Milian migrated to the US from Guatemala. He’s an illegal immigrant with no right to be in this country. Montano, who’s from El Salvador, is a minor. So, ICE is not allowed to release information about his immigration status. Both suspected rapists arrived in America just a couple months ago.
Judd, who is currently a Border Patrol agent, added that had the agency kept Sanchez-Milian in custody “that rape wouldn’t have happened.” Under the Obama administration the standard operating practice for the Border Patrol was to “catch and release” illegal immigrants they caught.
“We failed the citizens of this great nation by not securing the border,” Judd said.
White House spokesman Sean Spicer was asked about the rape Wednesday and said, “It’s horrendous, horrible, and disgusting.”
