Today, at 3pm, Milo Yiannopoulos spoke with reporters and officially made an announcement that he was resigning from Breitbart.
“Breitbart News has stood by me when others caved,” said Yiannopoulos. “They have allowed me to carry conservative and libertarian ideas to communities that would otherwise never have heard them. They have been a significant factor in my success. I’m grateful for that freedom and for the friendships I forged there.”
Milo seemed remorseful and he said that he hoped his poor choice of words should not detract from his colleagues‘ so in an effort to save Breitbart from any more distress, he is resigning. He said that this decision is effective immediately and that it is his and his alone.
“When your friends have done right by you, you do right by them. For me, now, that means stepping aside so my colleagues at Breitbart can get back to the great work they do.”
