Jodi St. Clair is an Arizona mother that proudly displays bumper stickers in honor of her sons, who are both serving overseas in the army. Well, one day she returned to her van after grocery shopping and found a note on the windshield that left her in tears.
The note reads:
Dear “Proud Parent:”
Please either send this $20 to your Army Soldier for a meal. If he/she is in the Middle East, either use it to buy a care or comfort kit, or save it for his/her return.
I pray for our military around the world every night, especially those serving in dangerous areas or in one of our wars.
The mother was brought to tears by the stranger’s generous actions. Now, she is looking to find Shelley so that she can thank her in person.
St. Clair says that being the mother of a soldier can be very stressful and that little gestures like this can make the most difficult days a little bit easier.
Readers touched by St. Clair’s story shared their thoughts on the Mad World News Facebook page.
“There is really good people in this world and its time all of us stand as one!” One reader commented. “Every solider and and their families put lives on hold every day to protect us! I say families of soliders cuase they back their loved ones who choose to protect our country, God Bless You All from the bottom of heart and soul. Thank You, now its our turn to protect them!”
“I have always appreciated our Military but I commend this person for what they did for this family,” another user wrote. “I am certainly going to think about it and step it up on my own effort to thank our military men and women and their families.”
“Still good people in this world,” another reader shared. “Thank both of her sons for their service. One vet. To another thanks.”
