Michelle Obama gave her first speech since leaving the White House and told the audience that she would not run for President.
CNN reported that the former First Lady said that realized that many people “thought I was the devil.”
Apparently forgetting that the country had elected her husband President, not her, she said that “it’s good to not have the weight of the world upon your shoulders.”
Michelle then went on to say, “she would never run for political office.” It is unclear whom she thought would like to see her as President, but with Democratic Party in such shambles, they could be that desperate.
It’s good to get out of the house,” she said about being at the event. “(It’s been) so far so good — it hasn’t been that long since we left … it’s good to not have the weight of the world upon your shoulders.
— Michelle Obama
Mrs. Obama’s declaration of her non-candidacy may have disappointed Donald Trump who would no doubt have welcomed running against Michelle, who has far too few accomplishments in her life for the American people to take her seriously.
