Megyn Kelly’s new show premiered on NBC Sunday evening to less than stellar reviews and a poor audience reception.
The show, Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly was the first on-air effort by Megyn since she departed Fox News several months ago.
The lead interview was with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Kelly clearly hoped to score some points with viewers interested in the role the Russians might have played in the election.
Instead, the press wise Russian leader left Kelly more or less speechless and unable to form any follow-up questions, according to an article in Newsday.
Kelly asked Putin “Do you have something damaging on our president?” “Load of nonsense,” was Putin’s reply.
Kelly came in third in the network ratings for Sunday evening. ABC won the night with Game 2 of the NBA Finals and a rerun of “60 Minutes” on CBS came in second.
