Megyn Kelly was supposed to be the new face of NBC News, and she’s certainly shaking thing up.
The latest controversy has to do with Kelly’s upcoming interview with Alex Jones, who has expressed his feeling that the shooting at Connecticut’s Sandy Hook school was a complex hoax.
While virtually no one agrees with Jones view on Sandy Hook, he does have an avid following on his website.
According to Fox News, advertisers are pulling out of Sunday’s show that will feature an interview with Jones. Page Six reports all day crisis meetings taking place at NBC about whether to air the show or not.
Most are betting that NBC will go ahead and air the interview with Jones as the controversy is likely to pump up ratings.
I find Alex Jones’s suggestion that Sandy Hook was ‘a hoax’ as personally revolting as every other rational person does. It left me, and many other Americans, asking the very question that prompted this interview: how does Jones, who traffics in these outrageous conspiracy theories, have the respect of the president of the United States and a growing audience of millions?
