During President Trump’s Florida rally, he made comments regarding the current mess that Sweden is in:
“We’ve got to keep our country safe. You look at what’s happening in Germany, you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden. Sweden. Who would believe this?”
Despite Trump’s clarification that he was referring to CNN’s show regarding the recent issues in Sweden with immigration, the media decided it would jointly mock the President. As shown on the Daily Caller:
Washington Post wrote, “The influx of refugees has not come without problems in Sweden, but mainstream politicians and immigration experts say the criticism has been disproportionate.”
New York Times wrote, “Last Night in Sweden’? Trump’s Remark Baffles a Nation.”
And from Sweden itself:
And if anyone has missed it, NOTHING HAS HAPPENED IN SWEDEN! There is no terror attack or anything of the sort.

Sweden? Terror attack? What has he been smoking? Questions abound. https://t.co/XWgw8Fz7tj

This is an exercise in disinformation.
Sweden has been in the grips of crisis for several years now due to a massive influx of immigrants, the largest groups being Afghans and Somalis, and last year alone took in more than 35,000 unaccompanied minors. Many of these children have been targeted by migrant drug dealers, rapists, pimps and Jihadists. More than 1000 children have just disappeared and the police have no resources to even look for them.
Sweden has become the rape capital of Europe with sexual assaults increasing by 70% over the last two years.
President Trump was right to make his point about Sweden. And the media were wrong to try and cover up the truth.
