Representitive Hakeen Jeffries decided on Thursday to educate his colleagues in the House of Representitives about Biggie Smalls. He walked onto the House floor with a huge poster of him, and then proceeded to share Biggie’s lyrics, reciting the words to the song, ‘JUICY.’ This is coming from the Democratic U.S. representative of the 8th Congressional Distric of New York. Seems a little unprofessional, doesn’t it?
This was an attempt to honor the Notorius B.I.G. hip-hop icon on the 20-year anniversary of his death by shooting.
The Los Angeles Times calles Biggie’s death one of L.A. greatest unsolved homicides. Christopher Wallace, Biggie’s real name, was murdered in the passenger seat of an SUV, while sitting at a spotlight, being fatally shot on March 9th, 1997.
From Young Conservatives:
You wonder why Democratic congress members are completely oblivious to their emails being illegally accessed and funneled to god knows where?
Why they never appear to focus on the important things that Congress needs to do? Perhaps because they spend their time doing crazy things like this on the House floor.
His rival with whom he had been feuding, Tupac Shakur, had been gunned down six months before. We’re not knocking Biggie, but maybe Jeffries could focus on the job he’s supposed to be doing?Maybe he could even focus on who he was hiring for his IT work? Jeffries was one of the people who employed the Awan brothers who improperly accessed all manner of Congressional information.
They even had a secret server off-site to which they funneled Congressional data. But perhaps it’s too much to ask for Congress members to do their jobs or to be aware of what’s going on with their own staffs…
